The residents of Sandalwood undertook a capital improvements campaign with voluntary contributions that raised funds to greatly improve the building, deck and seating areas (shown in the photo) of the swimming area of the third lake (aka Patti Lynn lake) several years ago. To accomplish this on a voluntary basis makes quite a statement of the passion Sandalwood residents have for their ‘hood.
Young or old, the lakes are enjoyed by all the residents…whether jumping off the rope swing, strolling by, feeding the turtles, catching fish, canoeing or just sitting on the bench.

And by the way, no, there were not Sandalwood trees in Sandalwood….local lore has it that the developers just liked the name!
