This is a lovely ranch home I helped a young family purchase this spring. Beautifully updated living on one floor, it would also work well for a couple or family wishing to downsize from a larger memorial home. It had a generous dining room and living/den room with lovely windows. It came on the market during spring break and still had multiple offers. This townhome at 10824 Brenner Creek is in a gated community and has a master down and could easily be personalized to your taste.  Wonderful area and has a small courtyard too and extra parking in the community. This townhome was withdrawn from the market but it still is a good example of a nice option for downsizing.  It was priced at $559,000 for 2800sf.

Hudson Oaks (11711 Memorial) is a lovely complex…well maintained with a guard at the gate. It has lots of trees and several pools. Occasionally a unit will become available on the ground floor….and here is one today. There are not many in the complex on one level. Priced at $152,000 it would work particularly well for a single person or elderly parent who wants to be all on one level. In the evenings you will find many residents out walking their dogs, walking to the mailboxes to get their mail, and chatting with neighbors….it’s a great community.

This is a charming home with a lovely side and backyard in Stonehenge, just off Briar Forest and west of Dairy Ashford. It’s a great community in west Houston. One of my clients purchased it this spring and remodeled it.  It is all one one story and was listed for sale for $145,000. Vaulted ceiling in the living room and windows on four sides give the home lots of light and views of trees and landscaping surrounding the home. A wonderful home with low maintenance.

Some people want a “lock and leave” and some people want a small grassy area for their dog.  Again, these homes have the master down.  Many townhomes have the master up but there are a few scattered around with the master down….we just have to look a little harder for those.
